Kolon Industries, Inc. has been a major film manufacturer since
1985.
Since then, the company has developed polyester-based films,
while achieving rapid diversification into nylon films.
In meeting the standards for product reliability and stability set by the
internationally renowned organization such as the American FDA,
EU Directive 2002/72/EC, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour
and Welfare, the Korean KFDA and UL, Kolon ployester and nylon
film products, ASTROLL and AMIDROLL have earned worldwide reputation in
the high functional plastic film market.
Kolon also gained certificate of ISO-9002 in 1995 and converted it into
ISO-9001[2002edition] in 2003.
Currently, in addition to film production, the company also
manufactures electric insulation, printing, packaging, metallic
yarn, hot stamping foil and dry film photoresist products.
In order to meet worldwide customer's needs and increase of market share,
Kolon completed a construction of polyester and nylon film plants in
Indonesia, 1997 and acquired Kohap's polyester film lines in 2003.
Kolon has invested a new line for nylon film in Indonesia to start the
production in 2005.
