A pioneer in Korea's engineering plastic field, Kolon Industries, Inc. plays a leading role in Korea's fine chemical industry, competing successfully with multinational chemical companies for market share in the recently opened Korea market and around the globe. Since the commercialization of PA6 resin in 1980, we have operated Korea's first commercial PBT resin plant and obtained the UL safety standard of the United States. Work is underway to increase the commercialization of Kolon's polyester elastomer technology, for which a patent is registered in the U.S.
