Individuals with Highest Competitiveness (Individual Excellence)

To have the highest competitiveness means for individuals to have the ability to grow into
capable managers, in addition to having the kind of competitiveness to compete
with the rest of the world.

Factors of competitiveness include technical ability, personality ability,
conceptual ability and top status.
Technical Ability
In short, technical ability refers to individual ability, that is, professional
skill and knowledge with which one can completely fulfill his or her assigned duty.
Personality Ability
This refers to individual members' ability with which they, as members of an organization,
can carry out their duties and help foster an air of cooperation within and without
an organization.
Conceptual Ability
Conceptual ability refers to the ability of members to find out how the diverse functions
of an organization are interdependent or how a change in a department affects
other departments.

Persons armed with conceptual ability can feel the sense of crisis by themselves
and can retain one's own way of independent and critical thinking, through which
one can quickly identify the key area where he or she can succeed in a given circumstance,
thereby effectively contributing to the attainment of an organization's goal.
Top Status
This means that individual members can secure a top status in their respective
areas only when they display creativity with the top-class ability and explore
the future by coping with changes flexibly.
  Unique and Differentiated "Us" (Uniqueness)

No matter how similar each of "us" may be with other people or groups,
"we" are the being retaining "our" own uniqueness.
Therefore, we should pursue the way of thinking, mode of conduct and the method of
living on our own.
We should not forget that all of us are one.
Unique Way of Thinking
To resolve problems and create something new, it is important to reject plainness
and common ideas and instead think differently by changing the level of thinking.
Mode of Conducts Sans Imitation
Individuals or groups can be similar to others but by no means be the same with others.
We can have a strategy and modes of conduct of our own when we approach the core of
a problem or situation and try to resolve them in our own way without imitating others.
Method of Living in Pursuit of the Top
Pursuing the top means not merely quantitative, but becoming the best with respect to
intangibles such as top management strategy, advancement into new markets
ahead of others, top quality, top productivity, top-level personnel
and first-class welfare programs.
Oneness (Us)
To achieve "oneness" refers to the unity through which all members, confident
in the sense of their being Kolon members, become solidly united around unified
goals and modes of conduct
